Gianna Marshall is a teacher and a sportswriter.
Gianna is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Special Education at the University of Iowa. She is an instructor in the UI REACH Program in the University of Iowa College of Education. She also interns in the University of Iowa Athletic Department as a Learning Assistant.
Gianna graduated from Loyola University Chicago in 2017 with Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She taught for two years before moving to Iowa City. While teaching, she wrote for two SBNation subsites: Mid Major Madness and BTPowerhouse.
Gianna’s long-term goals are to pursue a PhD in Special Education.
Gianna is passionate about special education research, transition programs for students with disabilities, supporting college athletes, and telling stories.
